Who We Are?
New Liberian Women was founded by Miatta K. Sirleaf in 2003 for purpose of bringing relief to the less fortunate and vulnerable refugee women for Economic empowerment through Skills Training and advocacy. The organization set up in 2003 in Accra, Ghana and working in the following areas, Liberia rural Montserrado and Ghana at the Buduburam Refugee Settlement.

About Our Founder
New Liberian Women was founded by Miatta K. Sirleaf in 2003 for purpose of bringing relief to the less fortunate and vulnerable refugee women for Economic empowerment through Skills Training and advocacy. The organization set up in 2003 in Accra, Ghana and working in the following areas, Liberia – rural Montserrado and Ghana at the Buduburam Refugee Settlement.
Mrs. Sirleaf, a graduate of R. C. Lawson and IPS International School of Public Administration with long years of public service as a social worker, a resource mobilizer trained by the African Women Development Fund in Accra, Ghana and around the world. Mrs. Sirleaf is married. She is a mother, a God-fearing woman, an advocate, and a motivational speaker. After a decade of fighting for the rights of women freedom and equality, she has also strengthened Liberian women through skills training through which many are self-employed in and out of Liberia contributing to their male counterparts.
